iPhone OS 3.0.1 Now Available!
Early this morning we reported that Apple would be issuing an update to fix the highly publicised SMS bug sometime on Saturday, but forget waiting, iPhone OS 3.0.1 is now immediately available for download via iTunes.
The update information simply states, “Fixes SMS vulnerability.” The update is available for the iPhone, iPhone 3G, and iPhone 3GS. [...]

Apple To Release iPhone SMS Bug Fix On Saturday?
Only a day after two cybersecurity experts revealed a SMS bug in the iPhone that may allow the device to be hijacked, the BBC is reporting that Apple will be issuing a fix for it as early as Saturday via iTunes.
